Lessons of the Tarot in Storybook Style

JOURNEY   OF   THE   FOOL

Lesson  #1

 The  Innocent  Fool
The  Fool  begins  his  journey

His  existential  stroll

through  the Labyrinth  of  Life

Where  Great  Mysteries  Unfold.

He comes  unscathed  in  purest form

To Live --To  Laugh --To  Face  each  Storm

The  Innocent  Fool is

your 'Inner Child  Soul'

Enlightenment your  Final  Goal.

-----------------------

The  essence of Zen is to empty your mind of  everything  'you think you know'.  To become like the 'Empty Rice Bowl'.  For if your bowl is full there will be no room for you to take in the  many blessings -- or lessons --  that each new day presents to you.
Jesus said "Become like the child".  This is said in the same spirit as Tarot that suggests  we are born 'The Innocent  Fool',

Today, I suggest that you  Embrace Your Inner Fool.
 Become the"Empty Rice Bowl'.
  Become  'The Child''
Silence that  NOISY  'know it all'  in your brain
so that you will be open to a world of new adventures.
Blessed Be.

This is the first lesson of the Tarot.

The  Second  Lesson of the Tarot teaches us about

THE  MAGUS

So many names....so many faces....look and you'll find him in so many places.

On his Journey the Fool will meet
The Alchemist
Who's special feat
Is taking dreams
and making them  real
No smoke and mirrors
He's the real deal.
He points his wand and dreams appear
Becoming matter in the air
If  Faith be strong
If Faith be true
Then this Magician lives in you.

Third Lesson of the Tarot

THE   HIGH  PRIESTESS

She steps onto her balcony
 to gaze upon the view
To the North a Higher Power in shades of pink and blue
Down South all Earthly matter
that distracts and yet sustains

Far East she sees the human heart;
it's joy and all its pain.
Out West a range of mountains,
Secret worlds we'll never know

Whispers from the Ancient Ones
Through  the Sea of Dreams they flow.

She sees the Fool, he meets her gaze.
He smiles and sends a merry wave.
"Go." she tells him.  "Live and Learn.
On this path of no return."

Fourth Lesson of the Major Arcana

THE  EMPRESS

She sits upon her Earthly throne, her womb ripe with the unknown
And all the dream seeds ever sown.

Some lay barren.
Some have grown.

She greets the Fool as he walks by

He stops and stares.
He knows those eyes.

Her name is Mother; his first true Love
who nurtures him from high above.

In darkest night, she soothes his fears

She lets him fall, then dries his tears.

She sends him off, to walk alone,
knowing every path leads home.

THE  FIFTH LESSON OF THE TAROT

The  Emperor

Iron  fist  and  velvet  glove

Guardian of   those  he  loves

He  is  the  strength  of  Everyman

Yet  gentle when he takes your hand.

A  guiding  light

His  love  shines  bright.

His  wisened  counsel

makes  things  right.

Diplomacy  his  favorite  game.

Wit  not  war:   No gain in slain.

The  Fool  bows  low   before

his  Sire

Respect  is  earned  and  not  for  hire.

He  smiles  up at the Royal One

Who smiles  back  at  his  favorite   son.

Lesson #6 of the Tarot

The  Hierophant

The  Fool  breaks  through a  gathering  crowd

The one who speaks is bold and loud.

The Hierophant is recruiting youths,

inviting all who seek the truth.

Excite the  crowd and keep them high

They may not ask the question

Why?

These guys  plant  the Shadow seeds

That  every  leader needs  to  lead.

The  Fool  looks  on  and listens  to

A stream  of  words; some  even  true.

Tradition,  contrition,

The latest rendition

of ethics and morals

So high on his laurels.

The Fool starts to leave

Turns his back on The Man

This voice of the People

This voice of the land.

But then  in one moment

One second of time

It all becomes clear

and it blows the Fools mind.

Manifest what you  believe.

Tarot Lesson #7

THE   LOVERS

He  didn't see it coming
One look and it was done.
Life had sent two lovers
and now he must choose one.
In every human heart
there burns a raging fire
that forces us to choose between
True Love
and
Pure Desire.

--------------------

    Tarot  Lesson #8

THE  CHARIOT

The Fool's traveled far

on his path through the woods

Past forests and streams

Dry brush and dead wood.

He spies a new crowd that has gathered for game

A Chariot Race, and the horses are named:

Boaz,  the black one;  Jachim the  white

The  riders  must manage to  ride them *just right*.

One pulls towards East, the other towards west

This vigilant rider has no time to rest.

The Fool sits and watches

               it's quite plain  to see.

This  Challenge is not achieved  easily

To falter  the task between balance and speed

Could  cost him the race: All riders  take heed.

For this is the struggle you'll face every day

To live in the balance

To live in The Way.

The  Universe has it in her grand design

We all face this challenge; all in good time

Take  hold of the reins

 No force and No slack

while  Time races forward

there's no turning back.

 ROLL WITH IT BABY!

Lesson #9 of the Tarot

STRENGTH

                            Who is the Beauty

                                      Who is the Beast?

Life can be famine

Life can be feast

Here  is  a Secret

but known to a few

The Beauty

and

 Beast

They both live in you.

Tarot Lesson #10

THE  HERMIT

            There is no Fear

             There is no time ...

The Hermit lives within her mind.

Divorced from all of life's concerns

Let Nature teach: Let student learn.

This is the Hermit's chosen way

Sometimes for years:  Sometimes a day.

The beauty of  this ancient  soul

she has no fear of growing old.

She knows her light will shine divine

Perhaps that's why she takes the time

To  feel the sun against her face

Instead of living in the race.

Let others rush from dawn till dusk

Let  Fools who angst...

angst if they must.

But this girl knows Life can be kind

The choice is all a state of mind.
